Solo Leveling: The Most Powerful Weapons Explained

From monster remains to legendary gear, power has a price.

Solo Leveling introduces a world where hunters engage in battles against both monsters and monarchs to defend humanity from those who seek to dominate it. Some hunters rely on weapons, while others prefer hand-to-hand combat.

Even among those who use weapons, the damage inflicted can vary greatly, as only the most exceptional weapons are capable of causing real harm. The most powerful ones are crafted from monster remains, making them incredibly expensive and difficult to acquire.

For Sung Jin-Woo, acquiring weapons is a much simpler process, as he can obtain them by eliminating monsters, similar to a video game mechanic. Unlike the standard weapons available to most hunters, the ones he collects tend to be of far superior quality.

Since these weapons are derived from various monster remains, their strength and effectiveness can differ, with some standing out as far more powerful than others.

10. Red Knight’s Helmet – A Piece of S-Rank Armor Used for Offense

Item Class: S-Rank

Effect: Physical Damage Reduction +15%, Strength +20, Stamina +20

Although Sung Jin-Woo is rarely depicted wearing armor throughout the series, that does not mean he never utilized it. During his job change quest, he acquired several pieces of armor and equipped them, though he could make them invisible.

As a result, he retained all the benefits without anyone being able to tell he was wearing them. Sung Jin-Woo’s encounter with Igris proved to be one of his most challenging battles. Upon emerging victorious, he obtained the Red Knight’s Helmet, an S-rank armor piece that provided substantial stat boosts.

The helmet granted him a 15% reduction in physical damage while also enhancing his strength and stamina by 20 points each. These bonuses allowed him to absorb attacks with his head and even dominate opponents in direct head-on collisions.

9. Ruler’s Authority – A Versatile Telekinetic Skill That Required No Mana

Ability Class: Telekinesis

Effect: Telekinetic ability

Rather than being a conventional weapon, Ruler’s Authority was one of Sung Jin-Woo’s most valuable assets in combat. This ability initially manifested as Dominator’s Touch, a skill he obtained from a rune stone after defeating Igris.

However, after his second visit to the Double Dungeon, the ability evolved into Ruler’s Authority. The skill is unique to the Rulers and their chosen vessels. With Ruler’s Authority, Sung Jin-Woo gained telekinetic powers, allowing him to pull objects or enemies toward himself.

When fully activated, some have compared its strength to that of a black hole. Since the ability does not require mana, it is both practical and efficient. Sung Jin-Woo frequently used it in combat, whether to retrieve his weapons, catch opponents off guard, or manipulate the battlefield to his advantage.

8. Bellion – The Grand Marshal of the Shadow Army and an Unmatched Ally

Rank: Grand-Marshal Grade

Effect: Communication, Regeneration

Among all of Sung Jin-Woo’s weapons, his shadow soldiers were undeniably the most powerful. Unlike ordinary hunters, he possessed an entire army at his disposal, making him a force unlike any other. Though he often fought alone, the strength of his shadows ensured he never truly had to rely solely on himself.

Bellion did not appear early in the story, but once he did, it became clear that he was the strongest among Sung Jin-Woo’s shadows. Before his arrival, Beru held the position of Sung Jin-Woo’s most formidable shadow soldier, but Bellion quickly surpassed him.

During their sparring match, Bellion demonstrated dominance over Beru with ease. As the Grand Marshal of the Shadow Army, his power was immense, and his unwavering loyalty ensured that he would always prioritize protecting his liege.

7. Kasaka’s Venom Fang – Effects That Make It a Lethal Weapon

Item Class: C-Rank

Effect: Attack +25, Paralyze, Bleed

Although Kasaka’s Venom Fang does not possess the highest attack power among weapons, its additional effects make it extremely dangerous. The dagger inflicts both Bleed and Paralyze, allowing Sung Jin-Woo to incapacitate his enemies in ways that pure attack power alone could not.

He acquired the weapon after defeating the Venom-Fanged Kasaka, a giant cobra that served as the boss of the Hapjeong Subway dungeon. This dagger granted Sung Jin-Woo a +25 attack boost, but its real strength lay in its ability to hinder movement.

The Paralyze effect could completely immobilize a target or at the very least slow them down. Meanwhile, if the Bleed effect was triggered, the victim would lose 1% of their health every second for as long as the effect remained active.

6. Knight Killer – Enhanced Damage Against Armored Opponents

Item Class: B-Rank

Effect: Attack +75, +25% damage against armored enemies

While Sung Jin-Woo obtained most of his weapons through combat, Knight Killer was an exception. He purchased it from the system shop for 2,800,000 gold. As a B-rank dagger, it provided a base attack boost of +75.

Though not the most powerful weapon in his arsenal, Knight Killer was particularly effective against armored foes. It offered an additional +25 attack power when striking heavily protected enemies, making it an ideal choice against knights and similar opponents.

Sung Jin-Woo purchased this dagger while inside his job change quest dungeon, replacing his previous weapon, which struggled to penetrate his enemy’s armor.

5. Baruka’s Daggers – A Weapon That Increased Both Speed and Power

Item Class: A-Rank

Effect: Attack +110, Agility +10

During his time trapped inside a red gate, Sung Jin-Woo encountered Baruka, an ice elf capable of defeating B-rank hunters. With the help of his shadow soldiers, he managed to overcome Baruka and claim his daggers as a reward.

These weapons remained in Sung Jin-Woo’s possession for a considerable time, even being used in his battle against the Demon King Baran. As A-rank daggers, they offered a substantial attack boost of +110 while also enhancing agility by +10.

Infused with magic that reduced their user’s weight, they not only increased damage output but also provided greater speed, making them ideal weapons for Sung Jin-Woo’s combat style.

4. Demon King’s Daggers – Infused with the Power of the Demon King

Item Class: S-Rank

Effect: Attack +220, Two As One

Sung Jin-Woo wielded the Demon King’s Daggers up until he obtained Kamish’s daggers from Thomas Andre. He acquired them after defeating Demon King Baran, making them the most powerful weapons in his arsenal at the time.

With an attack power of +220, these daggers were more than capable of cutting through most enemies. However, they fell short when used against National-Level Hunters and Monarchs, such as Thomas Andre or Antares.

Against these formidable opponents, the daggers proved insufficient, leaving Sung Jin-Woo at a disadvantage.

3. Orb Of Avarice – Its Ability To Amplify A Mage’s Power Highlights Its Strength

Item Class: SR (Super Rare) Rank

Effect: Deals Fire elemental damage, Desire for Destruction

After slaying Vulcan, the ruler of the lower floors in the Demon Castle, Sung Jin-Woo obtained a variety of loot, one of which was the Orb of Avarice. For a magic-based hunter, this item held tremendous value, as it had the extraordinary ability to double the user’s magic attack power.

Although classified as an item rather than a conventional weapon, its usefulness in combat was undeniable. Sung Jin-Woo eventually passed it on to Tusk, who wielded it to devastating effect.

With the Orb of Avarice in his possession, Tusk became one of the most dangerous mages, surpassing most other sorcerers and even rivaling dragons in sheer destructive force.

While most enchanted equipment and weapons typically enhance a hunter’s abilities by only 40–50%, this orb’s ability to grant a full 100% increase set it apart as a truly extraordinary artifact. The Orb of Avarice wasn’t just another magical item; it fundamentally transformed its wielder’s combat effectiveness.

In the hands of Tusk, it allowed for an unparalleled display of magical firepower, making him a force few could stand against. This item served as a testament to the fact that, in battle, an effective weapon does not always have to be a blade—it can also be an enhancement that maximizes destructive potential.

2. Demon King’s Longsword – The Lightning Effect Adds To Its Lethality

Item Class: S-Rank

Effect: Attack +350, Storm of White Flames

On the 100th floor of the Demon Castle, Sung Jin-Woo came face-to-face with the magical replica of Baran, the Monarch of White Flames. Following an intense battle, he emerged victorious and obtained the Demon King’s Longsword as part of the loot.

With an attack power of 350, this weapon ranked among the strongest in his possession. Beyond its impressive attack power, the longsword possessed a unique ability called Storm of White Flames. Each time it was swung, lightning surged through the air, electrifying its surroundings and striking down enemies.

Given that Sung Jin-Woo’s preferred weapons were daggers, he decided to entrust the longsword to Igris, who took it up as his primary weapon. With the Demon King’s Longsword in hand, Igris became a formidable warrior capable of going head-to-head with elite S-class hunters.

The fact that Baran, even in his replica form, wielded this weapon solidified its reputation as a top-tier armament. When Igris was chosen as its new wielder, it felt like a fitting decision, as the Bloodred Knight was one of Sung Jin-Woo’s most powerful shadow soldiers.

Some have speculated that the longsword was originally a weapon belonging to Baran, making it an artifact directly linked to a Monarch.

Whether or not this is the case, the Demon King’s Longsword remains one of the deadliest weapons Sung Jin-Woo has ever come across, not just due to its raw attack power but also because of its electrifying status effects, which further enhance its destructive potential.

1. Kamish’s Wrath – A Weapon With An Attack Power Boost Of Over 1500 Places It Far Above Standard S-Rank Equipment

Item Class: ??

Effect: Attack +1500, Mana Sensitivity

Forged from the remains of the dragon Kamish—humanity’s greatest calamity—these daggers stand as one of the most powerful magical weapons ever created. Kamish’s Wrath was crafted from the dragon’s strongest and largest tooth, which Thomas Andre initially kept as a trophy after the legendary beast’s defeat.

When compared to all other weapons introduced in the series, Kamish’s Wrath sits at the pinnacle. Sung Jin-Woo was able to use these daggers to stab and kill multiple Monarchs, a feat that speaks volumes about their unparalleled strength.

However, they proved ineffective against Antares, the King of Dragons, due to their draconic origin. Despite this, before gaining Ashborn’s full inheritance, Kamish’s Wrath played an essential role in enabling Sung Jin-Woo to injure and eliminate his most dangerous adversaries.

While many of Sung Jin-Woo’s weapons came into his possession through direct combat, purchases, or inheritance from Ashborn, Kamish’s Wrath was different. These daggers were given to him as a gift from Thomas Andre, serving as an apology and a gesture of goodwill.

When analyzing their effectiveness, Kamish’s Wrath outperformed the Demon King’s daggers in every possible way. Unlike the latter, these daggers were capable of injuring even the Monarchs, placing them among the most lethal weapons in existence.

Their historical importance, raw power, and connection to both Sung Jin-Woo and Thomas Andre cement them as not only iconic but also a symbol of the respect and alliance between two of the strongest hunters in existence.
