Given that only a small fraction of hunters ever reach this level, S-Rank Hunters are exceptionally rare, with just a handful found in each country and only a few hundred globally. Due to their scarcity and unmatched combat abilities, they are in high demand worldwide.

Many amass enormous wealth, accumulating enough resources to sustain them for multiple lifetimes. Their overwhelming strength often results in large-scale destruction when they engage in combat. Because of this, battles between S-Rank Hunters frequently devastate the surrounding environment.
Additionally, their unrivaled power makes them almost untouchable in legal matters, as seen when Sung Jinwoo was never prosecuted despite killing Hwang Dongsoo. Unlike lower-ranked hunters, S-Rank individuals do not have a set limit to their mana levels, as they cannot be quantified.
This leads to extreme variations in power among them, making it the rank with the greatest disparity in strength. When two S-Rank Hunters are compared, unless one is vastly superior to the other, assessing their abilities accurately becomes a challenge.
To address this, the Federal Bureau of Hunters ranks S-Rank individuals based on their accomplishments through a point-based system rather than measuring their raw power or mana levels. A specialized category within the S-Rank classification exists, known as National Level Hunters.
This designation was introduced following the Kamish Raid and applies to individuals whose strength surpasses that of standard S-Rank Hunters. These elite warriors possess unique abilities that set them apart, granting them influence equivalent to that of an entire nation.
Their status enables them to live with absolute freedom, akin to royalty, with little to no restrictions on their actions.
