Following an extended period without new information since the initial announcement in October 2023, Solo Leveling’s webtoon and web novel publisher, Kakao Entertainment, has reassured fans that the live-action adaptation remains in development.

The project is currently progressing through the planning and development stages, with Kakao Entertainment’s media division overseeing the script.

The success of Solo Leveling has led to various expansions across multiple formats, including a webtoon sequel, an anime adaptation, and a widely played video game.

Crunchyroll has recognized the Solo Leveling anime as one of its most successful launches, earning a place on IMDB’s list of the top 100 most popular TV shows last year.

The Solo Leveling: Arise game has also played a crucial role in expanding the franchise. Recently surpassing 50 million downloads, the game continues to introduce new characters and backstories.
